Josh Jacobs’ mugshots have surfaced online following his arrest on Tuesday.
Wisconsin police have taken the Green Bay Packers running back into custody on serious domestic violence-related charges stemming from an incident over the weekend.
Officers from the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department charged Jacobs with felony strangulation and suffocation. They have also charged him with misdemeanor battery, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct and intimidation of a victim.
His mugshots were shared on social media shortly after news of his arrest and can be seen below:
According to a police news release cited by The Athletic, officers responded to a disturbance complaint at 8:37 AM on Saturday before arresting the player on Tuesday.
A team spokesperson told the publication they were aware of the development but would not go into detail.
“We are aware of the matter involving Josh Jacobs,” the spokesperson said. “As it is an ongoing legal situation, we will withhold further comment.”
The NFL said it was also aware of the report and has “been in contact with the club.”
Josh Jacobs Denies Allegations

Jacobs’ attorneys, David Z. Chesnoff, Richard A. Schonfeld and Clarence Duchac sent the following statement to NFL Network:
“Josh vehemently denies the allegations, and this matter is in the early stages of investigation with important evidence that has not yet been made public. We ask for fairness and restraint while the judicial process takes its course.”
Jacobs is heading into the third season of a four-year deal with Green Bay. He joined the team as a free agent in 2024, signing a $48 million contract.
One of the best running backs in the league, the 28-year-old has registered 2,258 yards on 4.2 yards per carry and 28 touchdowns over the past two campaigns.
