Thousands have descended upon the San Francisco area to watch Super Bowl 60. While some are celebrating, others are trying to send a message.

The game between the Patriots and Seahawks comes weeks after two deadly incidents involving federal officers in Minneapolis. With the uproar over the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement in the States, many have been protesting in the streets.

Protests against ICE have even occurred in Milan during the Winter Olympics. The same could be said in the United States as well.

A few blocks from Super Bowl LX, a massive protest was clogging the streets. Hundreds were outside with various flags protesting ICE and Donald Trump. It was mere minutes away from the Super Bowl being played down the street.

If they wanted to send a message, they certainly did that.

At Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, activists also gave out rally towels emblazoned with “ICE OUT” ahead of the big game.

The effort was organized by Contra-ICE, per Newsweek. The move follows similar anti-ICE rallies amid growing concern the agency will use the game being held Sunday at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara as a show-of-force moment.

The National Football League recently said there were no planned ICE activities during the Super Bowl.
