Alaric Jackson is facing legal issues after police arrested him early Tuesday morning as part of a domestic violence investigation in Los Angeles.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers responded to a domestic disturbance call at a home in West Hills on Monday night. Police arrived around 11 p.m. and spoke with the people involved.

Reports say Jackson and a woman got into an argument after she allegedly recorded him on her phone. During the dispute, Jackson allegedly tried to take the phone from her. Investigators said the woman suffered scratches on her arm during the incident.

Police arrested Jackson shortly after midnight, around 12:30 a.m. He was later booked at the LAPD’s Valley Jail on suspicion of felony domestic violence. Jail records show he was released later that morning after posting a $50,000 bond.

An LAPD spokesperson confirmed the arrest.

“During the investigation, Alaric Jackson was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence,” the spokesperson said.

The spokesperson added, “Due to victim confidentiality requirements related to domestic violence cases, no further information can be released at this time.”

Jackson Faces Uncertain Future

The arrest comes only months after Jackson signed a three-year, $57 million contract extension with the Rams. Reports stated that the deal included $37 million in guaranteed money.

Jackson, who is now 27, joined Los Angeles as an undrafted free agent from Iowa in 2021. He earned a larger role over the next few seasons and became a full-time starter in 2023. He started 16 games during the 2025 season and appeared in all three of the Rams’ playoff games.

The case will now be reviewed by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, which will decide whether to officially file charges against him.

This is not the first legal issue in which Jackson is involved. In November 2025, a woman identified in court records as “Jane Doe” lodged a civil lawsuit against him. She accused Jackson of recording her during sex without consent and then lying about deleting the video. Court records show that case remains active, and a case management conference is scheduled for July 30.

For now, Jackson faces a new problem as authorities continue their investigation and prosecutors review the case.
