Rashee Rice is a free man.

The Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver served 30 days at the Dallas County Jail in Texas after violating his probation in May.

Rice, who was involved in a six-car crash in Dallas in 2024, had been ordered to remain clean as part of his plea deal last year. However, he tested positive for THC last month, landing him a 30-day stint in prison.

The wideout was released on Tuesday morning, and the cameras were waiting.

He was recorded running out of the building with a smile on his face before getting into an SUV, which sped off.

Check him out below:

Rice’s jail sentence resulted in his missing the Chiefs’ OTAs and mandatory minicamp.

He is also dealing with a knee injury and was allowed to leave jail for treatment at Parkland Hospital.

The 26-year-old served a six-game suspension at the beginning of last season. As to whether the NFL will step in with another suspension on the back of the failed drug test remains unclear.

Rice, a second-round pick for the Chiefs in 2023, is undoubtedly the team’s best receiver when available. He has had trouble remaining on the field, while legal issues have been mounting.

He missed time with a torn ACL in 2024 and served a suspension at the beginning of last season. Rice also missed the last few games after suffering a concussion.

The former SMU standout ended last season with 53 catches for 571 receiving yards and five touchdowns.

Prior to his being locked up, his ex-girlfriend accused him of domestic assault.

The NFL investigated the matter and concluded that the player would not face another suspension

Their decision on his latest legal matter remains to be seen.
