Former Cincinnati Bengals and Dallas Cowboys linebacker Logan Wilson has also decided to hang up the cleats.
There has been no shortage of notable NFL stars to retire in the new league year. On Monday, six-time Pro Bowl cornerback Darius Slay announced his retirement via social media.
Chicago Bears superstar center Drew Dalman stunned everybody by retiring at the age of 27 two weeks ago. And just last week, San Francisco 49ers defensive end Bryce Huff also called it quits at 27.
And now, Logan Wilson has decided to join the NFL retirement club. The 29-year-old linebacker announced the news with a heartwarming post on Instagram:
The Bengals drafted Logan Wilson in the third round (65th overall) in 2020. He was one of three stars to come out of that class for the Bengals, along with quarterback Joe Burrow and wide receiver Tee Higgins.
Wilson spent his first five and a half seasons with the Bengals before getting sent to the Cowboys at the 2025 trade deadline. The Cowboys released Wilson in a cap-saving move after the season.
Logan Wilson Was A Key Part Of Bengals’ Rise To Relevance In 2021 & 2022

Wilson was instrumental in helping the Bengals make surprise runs to the 2021 and 2022 AFC Championship Games. And without him, they wouldn’t have come within a few plays of defeating the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl 56.
In his tenure with the Bengals, the do-it-all linebacker recorded 11 interceptions, 25 pass breakups, six forced fumbles, 5.5 sacks and 541 combined tackles, per Pro Football Reference.
He picked off Ryan Tannehill in the waning seconds of the 2021 AFC Divisional Round, allowing Evan McPherson to boot the game-winning field goal to upset the top-seeded Tennessee Titans.
