Tom Brady Wants The New England Patriots To Lose Super Bowl 60, According To NFL Insider

One would assume that Tom Brady is rooting for his old team, the New England Patriots, over the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl 60.
A lengthy explanation isn’t necessary. Tom Brady spent his first 20 NFL seasons with the Patriots. He led them to nine Super Bowl appearances in that period, winning it all in the 2001, 2003, 2004, 2014, 2016 and 2018 seasons.
But according to one well-known NFL media personality and insider, Brady may actually want the Seahawks to defeat his old team. Seattle enters as a slight favorite over New England in Super Bowl 60.
In a video posted on X/Twitter, Skip Bayless suggested that the seven-time Super Bowl champion will root for the Seahawks. Bayless opines that Brady doesn’t want Drake Maye to win the Super Bowl as a sophomore, as it could “diminish” TB12’s legacy in New England:
“I don’t think Tom Brady loves this….I don’t think Brady’s going to love it for his legacy that some second-year starter as he was, flipped the switch right back and got the Patriots right back to the Super Bowl.
I think it’ll in Tom’s eyes diminish his legacy a little bit…I don’t think he’s rooting for Drake Maye today. And I definitely don’t think he’s gonna be rooting for him to win the Super Bowl.”

The Patriots won the AFC Championship 10-7 over the Denver Broncos. The home team failed to muster much offense, with Jarrett Stidham having to fill in for an injured Bo Nix. A Maye rushing touchdown and a short field goal from Andy Borregales were enough for Mike Vrabel’s squad to win.
Tom Brady Probably Won’t Reveal Who He Wants To Win

As much as fans want to know Brady’s rooting interest, it’s unlikely he’ll declare anything. Even though Brady is a Patriots legend, NFL television analysts aren’t exactly supposed to say who they want to win.
Brady didn’t have the smoothest divorce from the Patriots, but everyone knows that was mostly because of Bill Belichick. Brady has continuously expressed his gratitude toward the Patriots, so it would be odd if he were actually cheering against them.
NBC Sports is televising Super Bowl 60 this year. With Tom Brady and Fox Sports partner Kevin Burkhardt done for the season, fans won’t have to worry about him potentially expressing more excitement towards the Pats.
