Deion Sanders’ reaction to his son, Shedeur, getting the Cleveland Browns to within two points of a potential game-tying score was caught on camera.

Shedeur had a very decent outing for Cleveland on Sunday. It was good enough to get his team within striking distance after trailing 31-17 in the fourth quarter. The rookie quarterback fashioned a pair of touchdowns, running one in himself and making a pinpoint throw for the other.

No one would have expected him to be off the field for the final play. With the Browns needing a two-point conversion to avoid a loss, albeit temporarily, Shedeur was pulled in favor of a trick play.

His mother, Pilar, went off on the Browns over it. She has since been called out for inappropriate behavior

Deion is a football coach, so he knows better. He did not have a meltdown. But we do get to see how he reacted to his son’s final effort.

The Colorado head coach could be heard yelling, “What’s his name,” as he celebrated with friends and family. The 3-word statement could easily be interpreted as a message to Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski and the rest of the NFL — all of whom were accused of overlooking Shedeur ever since his slide in the draft.

Pretty wholesome footage. And fans loved it.

It also followed a proud-dad moment that went viral.

“That moment was cold. Coach believed the whole way,” one fan wrote in the comments.

“It was a party up in there!  He knew what was going to happen :),” another claimed.

“They not going to upload his reaction when he saw Shedeur wasn’t on the field for that 2 point conversion. 😂,” someone laughed.

“Now show us the reaction when Kevin Stupidski pulled him off the field for the 2-point conversion…” said a fourth.

As for that last play, Shedeur had a classy reaction, admitting that he did want to be involved but respected the coach’s decision.

Kevin Stefanski has since made it up to him by naming him the Browns’ starter for the remainder of the season.
