ESPN sideline reporter Laura Rutledge puts everything into her job. She serves as a full-time sideline reporter for Monday Night Football. This is a role she assumed before the start of the 2025 NFL season. It is clear that she wants to keep it for years to come.

She recently showed off her dedication to her job. During a recent college football game, a camera caught her sprinting on the field. Oklahoma was taking on Alabama in the first round of the College Football Playoff.

After interviewing on the field, she needed to be somewhere else quickly. Footage caught Laura Rutledge running to get to the concourse for halftime. She only had two minutes to do so. Rutledge sprinted by players and coaches into the locker room area.

She then had everything put on her to get ready for her next TV appearance.

“Tons of respect for Laura Rutledge here,” an X user posted. So good at her job, and this is a part nobody sees. She’s got two minutes to get from the sideline interview to the concourse for halftime. One day I’ll tell you about the time I worked a game on both radio and TV!”

This is the side of Laura Rutledge that fans never see. Over the years, she has gained viral fame for her on-field outfits. She might look good, but she works hard.

Rutledge showed off tenacity when Justin Herbert tried to avoid an interview this month. Her strong will made him stop and speak to her. Her latest viral moment is of her beyond the camera and running from two different jobs.

Social media loved it.

“So much respect for a reporter that runs,” one fan wrote.

“Oh wow!! Put her in the broadcast hall of fame already,” a second fan stated.

“You can tell that she is athletic in just the way she runs. Good work!” a third person said of Laure Rutledge.

“Wow, crazy. She ran 50 yards,” one final fan commented.

Rutledge has anchored SEC Nation for nine seasons as host. It makes her one of the most recognizable faces in Southeastern Conference football.

ESPN locked Rutledge into a multi-year extension in 2024. It keeps her through her second decade with the company.
