NFL analyst Chris Broussard didn’t mince words when discussing a potential Lamar Jackson exit from the Baltimore Ravens. After missing the 2025 NFL playoffs, the AFC North team fired John Harbaugh, ending an 18-year partnership.

Jesse Minter is now the team’s head coach, but his arrival doesn’t seem to guarantee that Jackson will stick around beyond 2025. During Tuesday’s episode of “First Thing First,” Nick Wright said that Jackson’s status with the Ravens isn’t as guaranteed as those of Patrick Mahomes in Kansas City and Josh Allen in Buffalo.

Chris Broussard chimed in and explained that a move to a team like the Miami Dolphins would put Jackson in a complex position.

“If [Jackson] were to leave the Ravens for Miami, in the state that Miami’s in right now with the Dolphins, or ask for a trade to Miami, you ain’t about winning,” Broussard said. “You are on the cusp of being able to win a Super Bowl and if you don’t it’s on you, it’s on Derrick Henry, it’s on that defense, it’s on that new coach.”

“But if you were to leave a team that’s close to go to Miami, where they aren’t nowhere near close, you want to rack up stats, or you want to enjoy your life in Miami and make a lot of money.”

Jesse Minter Heaps High Praise On Lamar Jackson

After his introductory press conference on Thursday, Jesse Minter joined “The Pat McAfee Show.” He had nothing but good things to say about Jackson, whom he labeled as the best quarterback in the league.

“You got the best player in the world behind center. You got a group of guys on offense that have elite talent and elite playmaking skills. I look forward to building an offense and building a team around Lamar Jackson,” Minter said.

Jackson was linked with a move to the Las Vegas Raiders. However, he reportedly identified the offensive coordinator he would like to work with in Baltimore. Time will tell if Minter grants his wish.
