Fernando Mendoza is on cloud nine. The Heisman-winning, national champion quarterback of the Indiana Hoosiers is getting set to be the face of an NFL franchise this year. And while over a dozen NFL teams would love to draft the Indiana QB, the Raiders are expected to take him.

The projected No. 1 overall pick in April’s NFL Draft is going through the car wash of different media spots across the country. That led to a sit-down interview on “Sundae Conversation.” The hosts are sports personality Caleb Pressley and sidekick Glen “Glenny Balls” Medoro.

“Never,” Mendoza answered when asked if he had ever been to his possible future home city. “I’ve never been to Las Vegas.” He then responded that he’d love to go if he was “invited.”

At one point during the interview, Pressly asked Mendoza if he likes fat chicks due to them reminding him of his offensive line. Pressley then asked whether Mendoza could thrive in a city known for its distractions.

“No, focus is on football at that point,” said Fernando Mendoza. “Get a couple connections in, but other than that, I think I’ll be able to handle myself.”

Last month, Mendoza declared for the 2026 NFL Draft. “My LinkedIn status is now ‘Open to Work,’ and I’m officially declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft”, Mendoza said. He even updated his LinkedIn profile, showing his updated picture and stating, “Open to work.”

Former Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza will forever be remembered for his 2025 campaign, where he led the Hoosiers to glory. The Hoosiers’ storybook season drew the attention of their wealthiest alum.

Mark Cuban had sent several million dollars to Indiana’s athletic department. The Hoosier alum donated to the athletic department for the first time last year.

Indiana has, accordingly, enjoyed a fertile transfer cycle. The Hoosiers landed one of the top quarterbacks in the portal in Josh Hoover.

Apparently, the billionaire increased his support by offering $39 million to keep Mendoza with the Hoosiers next season. As we saw, he clearly turned it down to pursue his NFL career. It was a decision that Michael Irvin blasted Mendoza over.

Irvin further weighed in that rejecting Cuban’s offer could be viewed as a “selfish” move. “Because the reality is everybody is we’re understanding we’re competing against one another, but we’re also competing for one another,” Irvin explained.

Fernando Mendoza has accomplished everything in college. He now wants to prove himself in the NFL.
