Audio from the 911 call that followed star indoor league football player Jordan Jones getting shot has surfaced online.

TMZ obtained and released the audio, which suggests that the 28-year-old was trying to protect a woman.

An eyewitness who called the emergency number noted that one male shot another following an assault on a female patron.

“Jordan Jones’ heroic attempt to protect a woman who was being attacked was captured in a harrowing, newly released 911 audio — with a witness telling dispatchers the late pro football player tried to intervene before he was shot,” TMZ reports.

Jones was set to debut with the Michigan Arsenal in the Arena Football One this season. He was working a security gig at the Saddle Bar in Acworth, Georgia, on Saturday at the time.

Someone on the scene called police with claims that one Daniel Di Vonne Parsons had shot Jones after the latter told him to stop assaulting a woman.

“The security guard tried to come out here and stop him,” the caller is heard saying in the clip below. “He walked into his car and said, ‘You know you can’t be beating up girls, you gotta go,’ and then buddy got in his car, pulled out a gun and shot him in the back.”

The shooter reportedly left in a black BMW after wounding Jones, who later succumbed to the injury.

Another 911 caller urged dispatch to send emergency responders, claiming that a black man with dreads had fled the scene, and another was in need of urgent help.

“We need y’all here ASAP,” he said frantically.

Parsons, 25, has since been arrested and charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, and aggravated battery.

The bar’s manager told TMZ he held a candlelight vigil with Jones’ mother, family and friends.
