After a series of blockbuster moves around the NFL, it seemed that the buzz around AJ Brown vanished. The Philadelphia Eagles star entered the 2026 offseason as one of the biggest names expected to start next season on a new team.
Maxx Crosby went to Baltimore and returned to Las Vegas, the Buffalo Bills (heavily linked with Brown) landed DJ Moore from the Chicago Bears, Michael Pittman Jr. was shipped to Pittsburgh, and even Geno Smith was sent to the New York Jets, but Brown stayed put in Philadelphia.
The Eagles reportedly changed their asking price for Brown, and opposing teams continue to keep tabs on his situation.
NFC Contender Monitoring AJ Brown’s Status With Eagles

On Friday, NFL insider Dianna Russini reported that the Los Angeles Rams discussed going for AJ Brown before they opted to improve the defense and landed an All-Pro cornerback.
“A.J. Brown trade discussions are not dead. Last week, I was told the Rams discussed trading for Eagles WR A.J. Brown before dealing for CB Trent McDuffie. Dialogue slowed, but Los Angeles continues to monitor the status of the three-time Pro Bowler with interest. We’ll see where both parties go from here,” Russini tweeted.

GM Howie Roseman and coach Nick Sirianni haven’t ruled out the possibility of seeing AJ Brown leave this offseason. There is still plenty of time to work on a potential move, as it seems that his market is anything but closed.
While he didn’t have the best 2025 season, Brown still produced for the Eagles. He caught 78 passes for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns. His relationship with coaches and quarterback Jalen Hurts reportedly took some hits during the season. Many consider that he played his last game with the Eagles.
