Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow faced public scrutiny regarding his relationship with model Olivia Ponton. It followed their appearance at the Kentucky Derby. Critics highlighted Burrow’s apparent reluctance to publicly acknowledge Ponton despite their frequent joint appearances.
Despite how they address each other in public appearances, it seems the two of them are really close. Although neither one of them has commented on their relationship, they were reportedly getting cozy at the Kentucky Derby.
As per PEOPLE, the pair were spotted at the Barnstable Brown Kentucky Derby Eve party last Friday. They arrived as a group, including Burrow’s parents, Jimmy and Robin.
“After making their way inside, a source tells PEOPLE the pair was “together all night,” with Joe Burrow sticking “closely to his group.” His group included Raising Cane’s founder Todd Graves and football players DeAndre Hopkins, Cam Jordan, and Von Miller,” People Magazine reported.
“The source says Ponton and Burrow were “cozy as Patti LaBelle sang her classics like ‘Lady Marmalade’ and then were on their feet as Joey Fatone, Lance Bass, Howie Dorough and Luis Fonsi ripped through ‘Despacito,’ ‘I Want It That Way’ and ‘Bye Bye Bye.’” For the latter, the quartet was also joined by Impractical Jokers’ Brian Quinn. Both Burrow and Ponton were at the Kentucky Derby the following day at Churchill Downs, but neither shared photos together.”

In December 2024, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Olivia Ponton reported a break-in at Burrow’s house. Immediately, fans wanted to know why the model was even there. Police reports identified her as an “employee” of Burrow, who discovered a shattered window and a ransacked room.
Ponton, described as an employee, raised more red flags as soon as further digging revealed that it was deeper than that. Joe Burrow stated his privacy was violated and expressed discomfort with the public attention surrounding his personal life following the incident.
His privacy has only been violated even more since then.
Before that break-in, many thought he was still dating his childhood sweetheart, Olivia Holzmacher. At some point during that year, they had quietly broken up.
When it comes to his day job, Burrow recorded 1,809 passing yards, 17 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions with a 66.8% completion rate during the 2025 season.
