There is always the chance that violence can kick off in the stands during an NFL game. It is a real worry from the start of preseason to the end of the season.

Some fans treat team affiliation like they are in a gang. They are willing to fight for the honor of their favorite squad and make decisions behind it.

Such was the case with some Pittsburgh Steelers fans in one of the more viral fights we’ve seen.

Pittsburgh Steelers Fan Knocked Out Cold During Wild Stands Confrontation

One of the more notable fights in recent memory is going viral again this week. It happened at Heinz Field during a Pittsburgh Steelers preseason game against the Detroit Lions in 2021.

The video started with a woman arguing with a man who was just below her. Amid the heated argument, the female Steelers fan suddenly slapped the man in the face. He initially went to punch her back, but thought better of it.

At the same time, her man stands up to defend her honor, even though she started it. The woman tried to get in between and found herself in harm’s way as the man below turned his attention to the other guy.

Just a few exchanged punches left the boyfriend or husband unconscious on the seat as the woman tried to protect him. The woozy man eventually woke up and tried to go back at him, but by that time, many others had stepped in.

In the end, the Pittsburgh Police Department confirmed the woman was cited for disorderly conduct. A spokesperson for the department told TMZ Sports the woman had to pay a fine as a result of the citation.
