During her Up & Adams Show, Calvin Johnson went viral after discussing the painful tactics players use at the bottom of fumble piles in the NFL. He specifically called out nipple twisting.

When Kay Adams asked him about what goes on hidden beneath the piles, the Hall of Fame wide receiver did not hold back. Johnson describes the rough, unsportsmanlike tactics players use when officials can’t see, focusing on pinching and twisting nipples as particularly bad behavior.

Kay Adams: “I want you to tell me what goes on at the bottom. What goes on at the bottom of these piles?”

Calvin Johnson: “I’ve heard of everything going on down there. I’ve heard, you know, pinching is the worst. You know, the pinching is the most BS. That’s the most bull crap when people be down there pinching. Don’t be doing that. People be pinching, twisting, you know, doing that. You can’t be twisting nipples or pinching and twisting. That’s the worst thing that’s happened to me under there.”

Kay: “Can you even get to someone’s nipples through… aren’t you guys all wearing so much [padding]?”

Johnson: “Hey, these guys got grip. Going through like all the pads. You get some skin.”

As many fans always expected, NFL players will go to great lengths against their opponents to gain an edge.
