Super Bowl 60 in Santa Clara, Calif., had everything to be a celebration. In part, it was, but for a San Francisco 49ers star, it turned into a complete nightmare.

Defensive end Keion White needed emergency surgery after being shot in the ankle at a nightclub in the early hours after the Seattle Seahawks became world champions against the New England Patriots at Levi’s Stadium.

More details emerged by the day, including rapper Lil Baby’s involvement in the altercation that ended with White in hospital. Eight months later, a major development occurred in the case.

The Daily Mail reported on Thursday that the police arrested four men in connection with the White shooting in February. San Francisco Police Chief Derrick Lew announced on Wednesday that officers carried out the arrest of four men, including the man believed to have pulled the trigger.

This person has been identified as Gregory Walker, a 36-year-old man of Mountain House, California. Police took him into custody on October 9, two days after they had arrested Curtis Green, 35, who faces misdemeanor charges of brandishing a firearm and carrying a concealed and loaded gun in public.

Law enforcement made two other arrests, but the suspects aren’t in local custody just yet. They will get charged upon arrival.

White hosted a party at a Mission District nightclub when four men confronted him and shot in the ankle. He reportedly got into an altercation with Lil Baby and his entourage, leading to the shocking moment. He continues to play, helping the 49ers boast an NFL-best 5-0 record.
