Cris Carter Reveals Wild Reason Why He “Threatened Justin Jefferson’s Life” And “Told Him To Keep His Mouth Shut” [VIDEO]

The Minnesota Vikings have struggled to find consistency at quarterback for several years now. Justin Jefferson has caught passes from 10 different quarterbacks in seven seasons, which has made it difficult to take his level even further and help the Vikings achieve the ultimate goal.
After having JJ McCarthy, Carson Wentz and Max Brosmer under center last season, the Vikings signed Kyler Murray. The former No. 1 overall pick has done a solid job so far, leading them to a 5-0 start after Wentz played in the first two duels.
It seems that the Vikings found consistency with Murray, more so after they shipped McCarthy to New York. Jefferson has grown frustrated with the lack of continuity at the position, but he hasn’t been so active criticizing the signal caller. Former wide receiver Cris Carter helped him stay silent.
Cris Carter Reveals Drastic Advice to Justin Jefferson

Carter sat with Kay Adams on Tuesday to discuss Jefferson’s approach to all the changes at quarterback and how to navigate them. The Hall of Famer said he “threatened” Jefferson’s life to ensure he would listen to his advice.
“We’re working on some stuff that’s not normal receiver stuff. If you look at the quarterback controversy, he hasn’t said one word. I threatened his life and told him to keep his mouth shut,” Carter recalled.
“Don’t be like myself. Don’t be like any other wide receiver. Keep doing exactly what you’re doing. You got a great image here. The organization loves you,” the Vikings legend added.
“Don’t complain about the quarterback. Don’t mention the quarterback unless you can say good things about him. And it’s only going to help you.”
In four games played this season, Jefferson has caught 19 passes for 258 yards and three touchdowns. He’s still building chemistry with Murray, while dealing with health issues. However, the early signs suggest that they are on the right track. The Vikings lead the NFC North standings and are one of three teams still undefeated (Chiefs and 49ers) this campaign.
