C.J. Stroud showed up to training camp dressed for comfort. But he’s getting ripped for it online. 

The Houston Texans shared a short video on X showing their franchise quarterback walking into the team facility with a backpack, an oversized white T-shirt, long shorts and gray sneakers.

They captioned the video, “CJ7 reporting in 🫡.”

Fans joked that Stroud looked more like a student arriving for the first day of school than a Pro Bowl quarterback preparing for an NFL season.

As noted above, folks ripped the Texans QB over his choice of outfit. They also had plenty to say about his gait.

One user wrote, “Bro looks like he walking in senior year in 2007.”

Another added, “Bro going to look for the registrar’s office ✏️.”

“Dude Aura is complete evaporated,” someone claimed. “Looks like he’s going to high school for the last few days before summer break.”

A fourth observed, “He’s walking like he just collected all the Pokémon.”

“Buddy walking like a toddler after swimming all day,” said a fifth. 

“Are those And 1 shorts?” someone else asked. 

Another fan compared Stroud to “That one dude that always asked to borrow your calculator and still got a higher grade.”

“Why he look like the overweight 8th grader that lost weight over the summer now he’s adjusting to high school life and new freedom,” one offered. 

Someone else wrote, “If someone said this guy never touched a football in his life I’d believe it, looking like he walking into a Yu-Gi-Oh tournament.”

“That fool did no offseason training or anything,” a user claimed. “Just eating and playing video games. 😂😅”

“Bro look like that weird mf walking through the halls you avoid eye contact with,” someone else joked.

Of course, Stroud’s outfit has little to do with his expectations entering 2026. The former Offensive Rookie of the Year remains the centerpiece of Houston’s offense as the Texans look to build on consecutive playoff appearances under head coach DeMeco Ryans.
