Maxx Crosby is a daunting opponent, depending on where you’re going up against him. 

He’s likely to crush you if it’s on a football field, but you’ll definitely get a shot if it’s in the ring or the cage. 

A video of the Raiders defensive end sparring with MMA star Sean Strickland in 2023 has been circulating online and drawing lots of comments. 

Dov Kleiman was one of the accounts that reshared the clip.

“New footage of Raiders star DE Maxx Crosby sparring MMA fighter Sean Strickland in 2023 has surfaced online and gone viral,” he captioned it. “Crosby is  6-foot-5, 255 pounds of pure muscle.”

Maxx Crosby didn’t give a great account of himself in the brief session and is lucky Sean Strickland didn’t drop him. The fighter didn’t put 100 percent effort into his punches, but didn’t go easy on the NFL star either. 

A fan pointed out that“6’5 250 doesn’t mean you can fight. He’s just a big target.”

“With that chin in the air Maxx is going to sleep if he transitions😭,” another user said.

“Sean Strickland beating up Max Crosby in a ‘light spar’ the same way he beat up that annoyingly nerdy streamer Sneako 😂,” one laughed.

“Maxx thought he was just gonna stiff-arm Sean like a running back… turns out Strickland treats ‘light sparring’ the same way he treats therapy sessions: zero chill, full send.. 😂,” one comment read.

“Strickland wasn’t “throwing heat”. He was throwing with arms, no hips or rotation involved and he was slapping his punches. Maxx needs to learn it’s “hands up chin down”, not the other way around,” someone claimed.

“Maxx caught him first 😂,” one fan observed.

“lol i’ll beat tf outta sean strickland,” former NFL star Le’Veon Bell declared.

Meanwhile, Crosby could be one of the big-name stars to make a move this offseason. He reportedly told minority owner Tom Brady he’s done with the Raiders after walking out on the team following his benching toward the end of last season.
