Justin Herbert just wanted to celebrate with his team.

The Los Angeles Chargers’ star quarterback, who suffered a hand injury last month, willed his squad to victory against the Philadelphia Eagles on MNF.

After the game, he wanted to celebrate with his teammates, but Laura Rutledge had other ideas.

Following a game-ending interception, the veteran reporter quickly found Justin Herbert for the customary postgame interview.

Instead of stopping and doing it, Herbert kept walking while saying, “I’m trying to celebrate with my team.”

The relentless Rutledge, who has drawn previous backlash once before, refused to give up before giving that interview. Eventually, Justin Herbert turned around and proceeded to give the most cliché answers to her questions.

Herbert, who underwent surgery just last week to repair his broken non-throwing hand, gutted it out and led his team to victory in a primetime “Monday Night Football” matchup against the reigning Super Bowl champions.

He would finish the game with 139 yards, one touchdown, and one interception on 12/26 passing.

Unfortunately, he took quite a bit of punishment from the Eagles. He was sacked seven times behind the Chargers’ depleted offensive line.

Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh called Justin Herbert a “superhero” for playing through his injury on Monday night.

With the victory, the Chargers are 9-4 heading into the final stretch of the 2025 NFL regular season.

Herbert and his team now turn their attention toward a Week 15 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. They have a strong chance to sweep the series and further bury their playoff chances.

Philadelphia dropped to 8-5 and is back in danger of having the Dallas Cowboys fight them for the NFC East crown.
