Jaxson Dart has now ultimately responded to all the hate that he received after appearing at a Republican rally with Donald Trump.

Dart drew attention last week when he introduced Trump at a rally in Suffern, New York. The appearance became a big topic on social media and in sports circles. Some people criticized his decision, while others defended his right to attend the event.

The discussion even reached the New York Giants locker room. Also, a social media post from teammate Abdul Carter was aimed at Dart. However, Dart dismissed any talk of problems between the two players.

When asked about the situation, Dart said his appearance at the event was not about supporting a political party or taking a political side.

“The president position has always been a position that I’ve well respected, regardless of political affiliation, regardless of political party and my intentions were just that,” Dart said.

The 23-year-old also acknowledged the attention that comes with his role as the Giants’ quarterback.

“I also understand that in this world, politics can be a sensitive matter, a sensitive topic,” he said. “I also understand that I am the quarterback of the New York Giants, and that involves a lot of responsibility. It’s under a limelight, under a microscope, and there’s a lot that comes with that.”

Dart’s comments led to another round of reactions, this time from several conservative media personalities who said he should not have felt the need to explain himself.

Former FBI deputy director and podcast host Dan Bongino posted a video message supporting Jaxson Dart. He encouraged the quarterback not to apologize for appearing at the rally.

“Listen, Jaxson… I don’t know you at all, you appear very talented. However, I don’t know if you apologized… but do not apologize! You are a free American citizen,” Bongino said.

He added, “You take a stance in your life, there’s always a counterparty. That’s why it’s a stance, someone else is gonna hate it. You can’t try to make everybody happy.”

Sports journalist Emily Austin also supported Jaxson Dart on social media. She said athletes should be free to share their political views, no matter which party they support.

Conservative commentator Jon Root agreed. He pointed out that many athletes have appeared at political events before and questioned why Dart received so much criticism.

At the same time, criticism continued from others. During a discussion on The View, TV host Joy Behar criticized Dart’s decision to appear with Donald Trump and said it could change how some people around the league view him.

Despite all these ongoing issues, Dart has tried to move past the controversy and calm concerns about any problems inside the New York Giants.
