The Buffalo Bills are two games away from returning to the Super Bowl. Josh Allen and Co. moved past the first major obstacle last weekend, defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars at EverBank Stadium, 27-24, to advance to the divisional round. The No. 1 seed Denver Broncos await them at Empower Field at Mile High, eager to get revenge after Allen and Co. took them out in the wild-card round in 2024.

The Bills remain one of the best teams in the league, but their wide receiver room has lacked a true leader since Stefon Diggs was traded to the Houston Texans after the 2023 season. Offensive coordinator has tried to get everybody involved in the offense, but the approach showed its limitations this season.

Having that in mind, the Bills could save themselves with a big offseason trade for a star wide receiver.

Brandon Aiyuk Joins Josh Allen, Bills In Blockbuster Trade Idea

Having a true No. 1 receiver is mandatory for teams with Super Bowl aspirations. The Bills have struggled with injuries in that department this season. Gabe Davis suffered a season-ending injury against the Jaguars.

Alex Ballentine of Bleacher Report recently suggested a bold move to fix the Bills’ lack of a true No. 1. He mentioned San Francisco 49ers’ Brandon Aiyuk as a potential trade target for Buffalo. The move would send WR Keon Coleman and a fifth-round pick in this year’s draft to Santa Clara.

“If the Patriots pull off a major move for a receiver, then it would make a lot of sense for the Bills to go after a distressed asset,” Ballentine wrote. “When healthy, Aiyuk is an elite separator and the type of man coverage-beater the Bills need.”

Ballentine adds that Philadelphia Eagles stranded star AJ Brown could also be on the Bills’ radar, but divisional rivals, the New England Patriots, could snatch him away.
