Fans believe Mac Jones will have his best season following a breakup that’s ended an eight-year relationship.

Jones spent last season with the San Francisco 49ers and gave a great account of himself after filling in for an injured Brock Purdy. Never mind the fact that he was injured himself. 

The former first-round pick is under contract for 2026 but has reportedly drawn attention from around the league, including from the Minnesota Vikings.

According to online rumors, he’s a free agent in another department after going through a breakup.

Mac Jones Breaks Up With Cheerleader GF

MLFootball is reporting that Jones has broken up with longtime GF Sophie Scott. 

“NEWS: San Francisco #49ers Pro Bowl QB Mac Jones and his long-time girlfriend Sophie Scott have reportedly BROKEN UP,” they shared via Instagram. 

“Scott is a former college cheerleader and model whom Mac has been dating since their days at the University of Alabama in 2019. Mac is reportedly on the market,” they added.

Fans reckon Jones is about to have a big season. 

“He’s about to be so good,” one claimed.

“Pro bowl quarterback Mac jones,” another predicted.

“Revenge arc loading🔥,” someone wrote.

“Mac Jones “Sam Darnold redemption arc” confirmed,” someone else chimed in.

“Return of the Mac😉,” another comment read.

“MAC DADDY IS BACK,” a user declared.

“Woah. 6yrs and wasn’t even his fiance. Doesn’t take a genius to know why they split lol,” one fan wrote.

Neither Jones nor Sophie has confirmed or commented on reports of the split.
