A Tampa Bay Buccaneers star seemingly posted a tweet that raised plenty of eyebrows on Wednesday. Two days after Mike Evans left to join the San Francisco 49ers, rookie wide receiver Emeka Egbuka made the rounds on social media. Or so fans thought.
Somebody impersonating the Ohio State product asked a controversial question about a major risk that NFL players face during their careers.
“Is CTE even real? 🤔” the account tweeted.
Many people reacted to the fake tweet and started calling out the person behind it.
“homie I think you just answered your own question,” one fan said.
“Please god not my wr1,” another fan said
“The first signs of CTE are this tweet,” another fan said.

In the wake of the tweet, the Buccaneers Communications Department clarified that Emeka Egbuka wasn’t behind the account.

Egbuka turned a lot of heads during his rookie season. He played 17 games, catching 63 receptions for 938 yards and six touchdowns. He became one of the best rookies in the league, and now he is considered the future of the Bucs’ offense.
The tweet is now deleted after causing a major stir in the NFL world.
