After finishing the 2025 NFL season with a gut-wrenching loss to the New England Patriots in the 2025 AFC championship game, the Denver Broncos entered the 2026 offseason with plenty of questions to answer.
Sean Payton criticized his receivers in the post-game conference, calling them out for not taking care of the ball during the season. On Tuesday, the front office added a star to help in that department.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Jaylen Waddle the Miami Dolphins agreed to trade Jaylen Waddle to Denver.
The Broncos received Waddle and a fourth-round pick in 2026, while the Dolphins received this year’s No. 30 pick and Denver’s 3rd and 4th round picks (30th in each round).
Jayen Waddle Said He Would Beat Pat Surtain In Boxing Fight

On Saturday, as he attended a boxing fight between rapper Blueface and streamer Chibu Dunga, Jaylen Waddle said he would like to get in the right with Broncos star Pat Surtain II, whom he played with on the Alabama Crimson Tide.
“Pat Surtain, I would beat the [expletive] out of him. I’d beat the dog [expletive] out of him,” Waddle said (video is explicit and NSFW). “There are a lot more people, but that’s just top of my mind. I’d beat the dog [expletive] out of bro.”
They will join forces again in Denver, with the Broncos having renewed expectations. They were four points away from the Super Bowl, and that gap might be close now.
