The Dallas Cowboys boast one of the best wide receiver duos in the NFL in George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb. Those two, along with running back Javonte Williams, made the Cowboys’ offense one of the most dangerous in the league in 2025.

After missing out on Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby, the Cowboys have more options to explore in free agency and on the trade market. They added Kenny Clark and Cobie Durant to improve the defense, while re-signing Williams to a three-year extension and franchise tagging Pickens.

They appear to be in a good position to compete next season, but Jerry Jones’ team could boost its offense with a move that would add an explosive wide receiver.

While they already have Pickens and Lamb in the wide receiver room, the Dallas Cowboys could put the cherry on top with Ohio State prospect Carnell Tate. Chad Reuter of NFL.com projects the Cowboys using the No. 12 pick on the receiver.

“It’s unclear whether George Pickens will be traded or play in Dallas on the franchise tag,” Reuter wrote. “If Pickens stays, adding Tate on the outside and moving CeeDee Lamb into the slot would be a beautiful setup for quarterback Dak Prescott.”

Tate’s talents made him a top-10 pick, but if the Cowboys can put their hands on him, it would take their offense to a new level. He played three seasons with the Buckeyes, catching 121 passes for 1,872 yards and 14 touchdowns.

The Cowboys could move one of their two first-round picks this year to have a better chance to land Tate. Having Pickens and Lamb on the roster makes it hard to believe, but it could happen.
