Earlier this year, Rashee Rice faced serious allegations of domestic violence from his ex-girlfriend. Dacoda Jones claimed in the Instagram post that she “dealt with abuse for years.” She added that following the breakup between “me and this man,” she has been dealing with “nothing but hell.”

Social media was sure that Rice’s career was in serious jeopardy. The post included 14 photos that were alleged to show the physical abuse that Jones had suffered. It included cuts to her lip, bruises on her legs and arm, various marks and cuts on her face, and damage to property.

All it took for former Ravens running back Ray Rice to lose his career was a video of him punching his then-girlfriend. The Chiefs acknowledged in a statement that they were aware of the allegations. Now it was up to the NFL to decide what to do to him.

Rashee Rice has a new lease on life and his NFL career. This was certainly a Good Friday for him.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that the league concluded today that Rice “has not engaged in conduct that violates the personal conduct policy” regarding allegations of domestic violence made by his former girlfriend.

Rice’s attorney, Sean Lindsey, added: “Mr. Rice wants to thank the NFL for their thorough investigation, and looks forward to the start of the 2026-27 NFL season.”

In February, Rashee Rice was sued by the alleged victim. That lawsuit is still ongoing. The situation is not over, because if he loses that case, it might prompt the league to take another look at the situation.

Rice was suspended for the first six games of the 2025 season. That was due to his violation of the NFL’s personal conduct policy, stemming from his involvement in a 2024 hit-and-run incident in Dallas.

After serving his suspension this season, he caught 53 passes for 571 yards and five touchdowns. The Chiefs finished 6-11 and missed the postseason for the first time since 2014.
