Dallas Cowboys fans received terrible news on Wednesday when wide receiver Parris Campbell announced his retirement.
He joined a growing list of young players who retired early this offseason. Campbell, 28, had stops with the Indianapolis Colts, New York Giants, and Philadelphia Eagles before joining the Cowboys.
After playing in the 2024 season with the Philadelphia Eagles, he joined the Cowboys in 2025 and appeared in one game.
Parris Campbell Retires From NFL At 28

Cowboys staff writer Patrik Walker shared on Wednesday that Campbell decided to end his NFL career after joining the league in 2019.
“Parris Campbell is hanging up his cleats in 2026. The veteran wide receiver has made the decision to officially retire from the NFL, also ending his time with the Dallas Cowboys, and will be moved to the team’s Reserve/Retired List,” Walker wrote.

He joined the league as a second-round pick out of Ohio State, spending the first four seasons of his career with the Colts. His best season came in Year 4, when he played 17 games, caught 63 passes for 623 yards, and three touchdowns.
