Travis Hunter is entering his second NFL season looking like a completely different player, and the photos prove it.

A side-by-side comparison of Hunter’s Year 1 and Year 2 team headshots has been circulating widely, showing a noticeably bigger, more filled-out frame heading into training camp. The caption accompanying the photos summed up exactly what fans have been noticing all offseason:

“Travis Hunter has been in the gym.”

The extra muscle didn’t come from a typical offseason program. Hunter’s rookie season ended early after he tore his LCL in practice last October, cutting short a promising debut that saw him rack up 28 catches for 298 yards and one touchdown on offense before the injury.

Unable to run for months, Hunter leaned on the weight room to stay productive during recovery.

“It wasn’t a focus,” he explained. “It was me going in there and getting my overall body right and getting in shape. Because I couldn’t run, so weight room was my best friend.”

He later added that fans would just have to wait to see the results once he returned to the field.

Jaguars head coach Liam Coen has already noticed the difference in person, praising Hunter’s upper body and joking that he now looks like he’s been living in the weight room every morning. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence shared a photo with several Jaguars teammates, including Travis Hunter, during offseason training, showing off the added size alongside the rest of Jacksonville’s roster.

The physical changes arrive right as Jacksonville finalizes Hunter’s role for 2026. According to NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe, the Jaguars plan to use Hunter as a starting cornerback this season while keeping him involved part-time at wide receiver, a shift from his split workload as a rookie. Jacksonville had already signaled that shift during minicamp, with Hunter spending all three practice days wearing the defense’s white jersey.

General manager James Gladstone confirmed earlier this year that Hunter’s rehab has stayed on track, and the added strength appears to be part of a broader plan to prepare him for a heavier workload on defense. According to Yahoo Sports, Hunter is on pace to be fully cleared in time for training camp, setting up his second season as one of the more anticipated storylines in Jacksonville this year.

Between the new frame and the expanded role on defense, Jaguars fans have plenty of reason to expect a very different version of Travis Hunter once the 2026 season kicks off.
