Former New York Jets second-round pick Elijah Moore will get a prime opportunity to chase a Super Bowl ring.
Per Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team, the Denver Broncos have elevated Elijah Moore to the active squad for Saturday’s Divisional Round tilt against one of his former teams, the Buffalo Bills.
Denver signed Moore to its practice squad in December, one week after he was waived by the Bills. Buffalo shook up its receiving depth chart after waiving Moore, bringing in Brandin Cooks and three-time Super Bowl champion Mecole Hardman.

Elijah Moore was a second-round pick (34th overall) of the Jets in 2021. He had his best season to date with the Cleveland Browns in 2023. That year, he caught 59 passes for 640 yards and two touchdowns, per Pro Football Reference.
Moore played nine games for the Bills this season, catching nine passes for 122 yards. For his career, Moore has 209 receptions for 2,274 yards and nine touchdowns.
Elijah Moore’s Impact For The Divisional Round Could Come In The Game Studying Room

We’ll see how much playing time Moore gets for Sean Payton’s crew. But there’s another likely reason the Broncos decided to bring him in: They probably want some intel on the Bills’ offensive playbook.
It’s a standard trick for NFL teams across the league: Sign a player who played for your upcoming opponent with the hope he can give you valuable information on their playbook. The New England Patriots just signed former Houston Texans edge rusher Darrell Taylor ahead of their Divisional Round clash.
Denver ranked third in the league in scoring defense and led the NFL with 68 sacks. But this game could come down to how Bo Nix and the passing game fare against Buffalo’s top-ranked pass defense. Any information Moore can provide on either side of the ball won’t hurt.
