Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore will not be playing another down for the franchise.

According to Adam Schefter, the Bears and Bills are finalizing a trade that will send WR Moore to Buffalo. The Bills have made a trade, giving Josh Allen a new weapon that should put them back in the Super Bowl conversation.

Schefter added that compensation is still being discussed, and the trade cannot be processed until the new league year, but both sides are pushing to make it happen.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports the Bills are sending back a mid-round pick.

DJ Moore has been on thin ice for quite some time. He even walked off the field mid-play during his tenure. Moore was traded to the Bears in exchange for the No. 1 overall pick in 2023. In return, the Panthers received the 2023 No. 9 pick, a 2023 second-round pick, a 2024 first-round pick, and a 2025 second-round pick.

In offensive guru Ben Johnson’s first year as a head coach of the franchise, Moore did not excel. He had career lows in catches and receiving yards despite playing in all 17 games. Moore finished the season with 50 catches, 682 receiving yards, and six touchdowns.

He now heads to Buffalo to play alongside Josh Allen.
