The Cincinnati Bengals have suspended wide receiver Jermaine Burton for this Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills.
Burton, a second-year player, has been listed as inactive ahead of the AFC showdown. He will miss out on close to $60,000 in salary.
News of his suspension dropped on Sunday morning, following reports that he did not travel with the Bengals on Saturday.

Jermaine Burton Has Not Bounced Back In Year 2

Burton had a tough rookie season, finishing with just four catches for 107 yards after being selected in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
He did have a promising offseason. However, it appears the team is already done with him. He has been kept off the field all year despite being healthy.
The wideout practiced this week but will not play this Sunday either, as he’s gotten himself suspended, which will see his pockets take a hit.
It was thought that the Bengals took a risk on him when they selected him 80th overall. It definitely has not paid off.
Of course, it was always going to be hard to break into a team boasting Ja’Marr Chase, who was recently suspended himself. The Bengals also boast Tee Higgins. But it doesn’t appear that he put in the effort or did much to earn the trust of his teammates and coaches.
