New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn added another blunder to his tumultuous stint with the AFC East franchise. The Jets took on the New England Patriots in Week 6 of the 2026 NFL season, with the Pats welcoming AJ Brown back to the field.

The first half turned into a complete disaster for Glenn. His team trailed 17-3 at halftime at Gillette Stadium, and Glenn’s interview didn’t help the squad’s game.

Aaron Glenn’s Latest Blunder Earns Him Criticism

In his halftime interview with CBS, Glenn expressed confidence that the Jets would get things back on track for the second half. He got it all backward, though. Glenn believed the Jets had the first possession of the second half.

“The good thing is, we get the ball. We get a chance to go move it and finish,” Glenn said.

The bad thing, however, was that the Patriots would get the first possession in the third quarter. Fans heavily criticized him in the comments section.

“Well he should’ve been fired months ago so whatever,” one fan said.

“Not knowing who gets the ball to start the half is a rough one,” another wrote.

“That’s not ideal,” a third wrote.

“Aaron Glenn is in concussion protocol,” a fourth said.

The Jets had the first possession of the game and scored on a field goal.
