Fernando Mendoza’s first appearance in a Las Vegas Raiders uniform hasn’t gone over so well due to one glaring observation.

The reigning Heisman is set for his first season with the team following its decision to make him the No. 1 overall pick. However, it doesn’t appear that they got his measurements right.

Mendoza’s first photos in his new Raiders gear hit the web this week following viral training footage leaking several days ago.

Team reporter Sam Warren shared a post showing, “Fernando Mendoza in his Raiders uniform for the first time.”

Check him out below:

Fans immediately noticed that his helmet was too small.

“Someone get this man a helmet that fits,” one wrote.

“I think bru needs a new helmet,” another stated.

“Can we get homie a helmet that actually fits?” asked a third.

“Did they not have a helmet in his size?” another inquired.

“How well Fernando Mendoza’s Raiders helmet fits,” a user joked.

“Can someone please pull Fernando Mendoza aside & get him a proper QB helmet? The undersized kicker helmet was fine at Indiana but you can’t rep the Silver & Black in this dinky thing,” one account offered.

Fernando Mendoza’s name was the first one called during April’s draft. It was no secret that the Raiders would take him at No. 1.

Now that he’s in, there are questions regarding when he might actually play.

The Raiders have also signed Kirk Cousins, who is likely to start. New head coach Klint Kubiak has indicated that he wants to go with a veteran.

While first-overall picks typically start right away, some coaches prefer easing them in and having them develop under experienced players.

Whenever he does play, it would do the Raiders well to have him suit up in a larger helmet.
