Shedeur Sanders Done In Cleveland? NFL Fans Are Convinced It’s Over After QB’s Latest Move
This article was originally published on Total Pro Sports.

Shedeur Sanders’ second season with the Cleveland Browns hasn’t gone as expected. After starting in the team’s final seven games in 2025, many expected him to keep the starting job, even with Deshaun Watson fully healthy and ready to go.
New head coach Todd Monken handed the keys to the car to Watson, sparking harsh criticism in the process. Sanders started the season as QB2, as fans watched what Watson could do.
After a poor showing against the Jacksonville Jaguars (34-10) in Week 1, Watson led the Browns to three consecutive wins, leaving no room for doubt about his role. The Browns lost to the Jets in Week 4, with Watson connecting only 15 of 33 pass attempts.
While the door might not be completely shut for Sanders, it doesn’t seem like he’ll wait around to get another chance.
Fans Believe Shedeur Sanders Will Request a Trade After Latest Move

On Wednesday, NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that Sanders had made a U-turn and hired representation. He entered the draft and spent the first part of his career without an agent. Sanders signed with Adie von Gontard, CEO of Young Money APAA Sports.
Fans in the comments sections insisted that this meant the end of Sanders’ time in Cleveland.
“This has to be to work on a trade to get him out of Cleveland,” one fan said.
“So he’s asking for a trade then?” another questioned.
“This means he wants to be traded watch,” a third wrote.
“He trynna get traded,” a fourth added.
“Shedeur Sanders asking for a trade,” a fifth joked.
Sanders has attempted one pass this season, completing it for no gain. He went 120 of 212 for 1,400 yards and seven touchdowns against 10 interceptions in 2025.
Nothing is set in stone, but Monken looks set to ride with Watson for the rest of the season.
