Veteran NFL wide receiver K.J. Osborn has received a wonderful reminder that what goes around, indeed, comes around.

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Tennessee Titans are signing K.J. Osborn to a one-year contract. The 28-year-old split the 2024 season with the Washington Commanders and New England Patriots, but did not play in 2025.

As ESPN reported at the time, Osborn emerged as a hero on March 6, 2023, when he saved a man from a burning car in Austin, Texas. The vehicle crashed into a pillar underneath a freeway, but Osborn, his Uber driver and two bystanders rushed to the man’s aid and removed him from the car.

Responding police officers told the rescuers that the man wouldn’t have survived without their support. He was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Osborn was signed to the Atlanta Falcons’ practice squad late last season, but was never promoted to the main roster. In 2024, he caught seven passes for 57 yards and one touchdown.

Osborn turned heads with a stellar 2021 sophomore season for the Minnesota Vikings, catching 50 passes for 655 yards and seven touchdowns. The following year, he posted a career-high 60 receptions for 650 yards and five scores.

Despite a revolving door at quarterback, Osborn had another solid campaign in 2023. He finished with 48 catches for 540 yards and three touchdowns.

In his three full NFL seasons, Osborn performed like a quality No. 2 or 3 wide receiver. And now he joins a Tennessee WR room that isn’t exactly full of playmakers outside of newcomer Wan’Dale Robinson.

We’ll see if K.J. Osborn ends up making Tennessee’s final roster. But given his production in Minnesota, it was absolutely worth taking a chance on for the Titans.
