Amid plenty of rumors involving AJ Brown, the Philadelphia Eagles have made multiple moves to add more talent to the wide receiver room. Brown has been linked with a move away since the 2025 season. As the days go by, a trade looks inevitable.
The New England Patriots reportedly led the race to acquire his services a couple of months ago. Ahead of June 1, the Los Angeles Rams and the Kansas City Chiefs joined the race to land Brown.
While the situation remains active, the Eagles were advised to replace the former Tennessee Titans star with a proven veteran.
Stefon Diggs Linked With the Philadelphia Eagles

In a potential full-circle moment, the Eagles could land Stefon Diggs, who last played for the Patriots, to replace Brown. FanSided’s Sayre Bedinger mentioned Diggs as an option for Philadelphia.
“Diggs, for all his faults, just helped the New England Patriots reach the Super Bowl and was one of the most consistent receivers in the game last year,” Bedinger wrote. “He is an asset on the field, and with his off-field issues piling up, a team like the Eagles might even be able to get him at a discounted rate.”
Diggs had a history with one of the Eagles’ new coaches.
“Mannion and Diggs were teammates once upon a time with the Minnesota Vikings when Mannion was a backup quarterback behind Kirk Cousins,” he wrote. “Those two would know each other well, and Mannion would be able to sign off on exactly how Diggs could fit in the offense.”
In his sole season in New England, Diggs played 17 games, catching 85 passes for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns.
