A concerning incident occurred during the Seahawks’ joint practice session on Friday. The fourth-year wide receiver went down after an incomplete pass attempt.

Jake Bobo landed awkwardly while contesting a throw against Titans coverage. Linebacker James Williams broke up the pass during the drill. In addition, the receiver required assistance before boarding a cart for removal.

Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald announced that wide receiver Jake Bobo suffered a “serious knee injury” that early indications suggest will be a “long-term injury.”

Bobo had to be carted off the field after landing awkwardly while attempting to make a catch during a joint practice against the Tennessee Titans.

While the team is waiting on an MRI to officially confirm the exact diagnosis, Macdonald expressed a somber outlook.

On the severity of his injury, “Our heart goes out to Jake Bobo. Seems like it’s going to be a serious knee, we’re going to get it imaged, but early returns—looks like it’s a long-term injury. So that’s unfortunate.”

On his value to the team, “He’s a beast, man. Just a great football player. Great Seahawk… We love him. We said a prayer for him. Hate to see it.”

He primarily contributed on special teams and as a blocker, recording 2 receptions for 20 yards across 11 regular-season games.
