New Orleans Saints Superstar WR Suffers Brutal Injury, Leaves Practice

The New Orleans Saints got some worrying news from training camp on Thursday when star wide receiver Jordyn Tyson walked off early with trainers after tweaking his hamstring.
The injury happened during what had been another strong day for Tyson. The rookie wideout has impressed coaches and teammates throughout camp, making him one of the most talked-about players on the Saints’ offense heading into the preseason.
Now, all eyes are on his health instead of his plays. Hamstring issues can be tricky to manage, and missing time now could mess with his preparation for the season.
Hamstring Issue Raises Concern Before Preseason Opener

Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football first reported the development from practice.
“Saints WR Jordyn Tyson left practice early with trainer Thursday,” Triplett wrote. “We’ve heard hamstring and hopefully minor. But ended his practice early after a strong start.”

Shortly after that report surfaced, NFL reporter Cameron Wolfe shared additional context on Tyson’s situation.
“Jordyn Tyson has been having a very strong camp. Unfortunate. Hamstring injuries slowed him in predraft process too. Something to watch,” Wolfe wrote.
Those comments immediately raised concern because Tyson dealt with injury questions before the NFL Draft. He received medical clearance before the draft, and the organization felt comfortable with his health. Even so, any hamstring issue brings added attention, given his recent history.
The timing also creates uncertainty ahead of New Orleans’ first preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on August 15. Coaches could adopt a cautious approach if Tyson continues to experience discomfort over the next few days.
The Saints entered the offseason determined to build a strong offense around their young quarterback. Tyson was a big piece of that plan after the team drafted him in the first round to form a dynamic receiving duo alongside Chris Olave.
For now, the team has not provided details about the severity of the injury. That leaves plenty of questions as the preseason approaches.
New Orleans will likely monitor Tyson closely over the coming days. If the injury proves minor, he could return quickly. If not, the team may need to adjust its plans.
